Disable Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM) (All Windows) Category: Home > Windows > System > Services
Distributed Component Object Model, or DCOM, provides a method for distributed network applications to communicate with one another. This setting allow you to disable support for DCOM. Open your registry and find the key below. Create a new String value, or modify the existing value called 'EnableDCOM' using the settings below. Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.
